There are water spots, therefore, ABS must be at 80~100 ℃ when processing such as injection molding. Under the temperature, dry for 4~8h (depending on the actual situation), after ABS is mixed with the color masterbatch, it is dried like ABS. It is necessary to control the drying temperature, because the oven temperature is set too high during drying, which will easily cause the color masterbatch to melt and stick to the hopper surface.

Due to the rubber component contained in ABS, color unevenness may occur during coloring. The dyeing is different, the reflection is different, and the color light seen is also different. Due to the large amount, the dispersibility of the pigment has become a technical problem. In addition, ABS resin is prone to discoloration by heat and ultraviolet radiation, so it is necessary to choose a pigment with relatively small variability. The effect of pigments on the ultraviolet aging of ABS resin is the same as that of polystyrene and other plastics. ABS will accelerate aging when exposed to ultraviolet rays, especially its rubber components with dimerization are more susceptible to ultraviolet rays. When selecting pigments for ABS resin, the impact on the resin should be fully considered, such as ABS resin products used outdoors, and suitable pigments with high concentration and strong covering power should be used as much as possible to improve the light resistance of the polymer itself.
